Dental prosthetics
Dental prosthetics refers to the restoration of one or more teeth—either by replacing missing teeth or by rebuilding and crowning existing tooth structure. A basic distinction is made between fixed restorations such as crowns, bridges, and implants, and removable solutions in the form of partial or full dentures. While metal-based materials were commonly used in the past, modern metal-free solutions are increasingly taking precedence today. Where medically appropriate, we prefer these particularly biocompatible and aesthetically pleasing treatment options.
Fixed dental prosthetics
Crowns and bridges are fixed dental restorations used for the long-term restoration of function and tooth structure. They are made from high-quality, durable materials such as ceramic or zirconia, providing a long-lasting and stable solution. The colour is individually selected and precisely matched to your natural tooth shade, ensuring that the restoration blends harmoniously into the overall appearance. Thanks to modern digital technologies, each restoration is manufactured with high precision and entirely metal-free – for maximum accuracy of fit, biocompatibility, and an aesthetically convincing result.
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns are used to stabilize and restore severely damaged or root-treated teeth. They are also indicated when extensive fillings need to be replaced in order to protect the remaining tooth structure in the long term. Bridges consist of several interconnected crowns and are used to replace missing teeth. They allow dental gaps to be closed both functionally and aesthetically, restoring the natural dental arch.
Removable dental prosthetics
Removable dentures are used to replace multiple or all missing teeth with individually fabricated dental arches. The denture base rests on the oral mucosa and is typically made from well-tolerated, high-quality acrylic materials. Depending on the initial situation, retention is achieved either via the remaining natural teeth or through implants. Various treatment options are available, including partial dentures, cast metal framework dentures, or implant-supported prostheses. The goal is to provide a functional, stable, and aesthetically pleasing solution that blends harmoniously into the overall appearance.
